No, she doesn't want to die. She wants to walk free. But if you offer her a choice of life in prison or the death penalty, she prefers death. She doesn't want to live out her life behind bars. For her, death is easier than such a life.

That's very sad, that Ariel Castro successfully succeeded in ruining Colon's life and getting him registered as a sex offender. I wouldn't be surprised if Ariel molested his own daughters.

Family is just setting the stage for the appeal. That's all. They know he is guilty, but they have to carry on like this in public, hoping that during the appeal, some jurors might be swayed. This is a staged act.

It could be delusion. Or it could be Jerry setting the stage for his appeal. His lawyer has probably cued him that the blank, stupid look is not sitting well with America. Ah, but we love "conspiracies." A certain amount of the population may just believe him.
